Busy Summer!

I have had a busy summer and should have lots to blog about, but I haven’t felt the urge as of late.  I think it’s because I have been so busy and the weather has been so nice.  I know I have found myself thinking “I will have to remember to blog about that later…like in the autumn!”

A run down of July travels: Canada, Maine, Wisconsin, New York.

A run down of summer movies I have seen: Toy Story 3, Despicable Me, Eclipse, Shrek 4

Run down of major events: 1 friend had a baby and one had a 1st year party that I missed…and I am prepping for a baby shower in early August for another friend.

hmmm…I am certain there is more and I will elaborate on most of these at some point, but for now, I am going to enjoy the lazy hazy days of summer.  You should go do the same!

Hello my pink liquid friend

124This pink bottle of Pepto became my best friend on my trip to Canada.

Not sure where or what I had, but ICK! My stomach felt as though I had swallowed knives and they were just churning for 2 days.

Mom and I had visited Niagara on the Lake (on Canada Day…it was a bit crowded!).  I had been feeling off a bit all day, but likened it to the heat – and going in & out of A/C.  We ate at the oldest and longest running Inn in NotL, The Angel Inn.  The Inn is supposedly haunted by the ghost of Captain Swayze that was hiding out to meet for one last ‘get it on” with his girl…instead, he got poked in a not-so-pleasant way – by the end of a bayonette whilst hiding in a barrel.  I think my hamburger there was made out of Captain Swayze.

That night, I over-did the thing called eating again.  The next day, all I could manage was a $23 milk and toast.  Thankfully, I didn’t actually have to pay the $23 (the benefit of all the travel I do for work!).

It made for an interesting couple of days.  Toronto wasn’t nearly as fun as it could have been, but I will be posting a blog soon about our favorite day in Ontario.  It was unplanned and unexpected…kinda like my stomach pangs, but that just wasn’t in an unpleasant way like this!

April. May. June.

I crammed 3 months worth of squares into 2 weeks.  I am caught up now and heading up to The Red Purl to get the July pattern today.

012This is April.  Littered, LITTERED, with errors, but the pattern is one of my favorites…just not sure I could handle anything more than this of it.  The thing seemed to take forever!

014And here is the 1st 4 months together:

May wasn’t too bad.  There was one row that I messed up on.  Other than 055that and the fact that I am such a tight knitter, the May pattern ended up being 9 1/2 inches wide versus the 13” it is suppose to be.

031I am going up to get the July pattern today because I just finished June – YAY.  The color doesn’t show well in this ~ it is a lovely lavender, but since these are all hand dyed yarns, the variegation is amazing.  I really liked how pretty this yarn is!
