I was over watching my friend’s family. Can’t call it babysitting. They all know their roles. I am there just to have an adult presence there while the little ones are still awake. I am a little sad that the novelty of “me” has warn off though.
I always feel a little goofy when I talk to the older kids (did I mention there are 7 of them total?). The look on their faces as I tell a story is kind of funny. I will finish the story and they look at me like “yeah, and…?” Don’t get me wrong, I believe they like me, but I just don’t think my humor translates to the younger generation – at least in that household.
I was there 2 weeks ago and had my hair up in a clip like the ones pictured. The 16 year old said “oh yeah, those are coming back into style.”
Uh…didn’t realize they had gone out of style, but then I started to think about it and yep, good chance that I have been wearing these for the better part of 15 years. Chances are also pretty good that these clips went out of fashion at some point in there.
Ha!
